Navigating life as a menopausal woman can feel incredibly overwhelming and exhausting. Our bodies have changed and for most of us, not in a good way. We aren’t feeling our best and our stamina is not what it was when we were younger. Hormonal changes have taken a toll and we are now experiencing life through a different lens.
If this sounds at all familiar, then let’s have a chat. I have been post menopausal for nearly 14 years and I have witnessed quite a few changes during this time. I particularly noticed BIG changes after the age of 60. After fighting the changes for far too long, I surrendered to them. I stopped fighting them and instead, started to embrace them.
This does not mean I wasn’t willing to make changes to improve my life experience at this age. It simply means I came to a place of ACCEPTANCE first and from there, began implementing changes so that I could feel better and enjoy life again.
This has not been an easy road, but it has been a worthwhile one.

You might be wondering, what changes did I make?
I started with better Nutrition: I eliminated sugar and processed foods (except for on occasion)
I restructured my workout routine to be more aligned with my body now (which looks very different from my 20s & 30s)
I worked on improving my metabolic health by dialing in specific macro nutrients
I implemented changes to my evening routine to improve my sleep
I avoid GLP-1s and focus on nutrition and natural ways of supporting my body
I identified and eliminated high inflammatory foods
I spend time in nature for balance; Spiritual and emotional well-being
I have uncovered and healed my “Core Wound” so that I am no longer a prisoner to it but instead, nurtured by it
I fill my own cup so others can enjoy the overflow, which is to set healthy boundaries and say “no” when something isn’t right for me
I practice self-care and self-love daily
I practice presence and awareness of the inner dialogue so I can recognize my Truth from the stories of my past
I put myself first and make my wellness my top priority.
